It also encourages me to make more artwork. I really like to see the art other people have made\, too\, because it gives me ideas on what I can do and make in the future.”\n Lyza O.\n “When I was chosen for Partners in Art\, I was in second grade. I was so excited to be chosen to present my art. It helped me grow as an artist and expand the mediums I attempted to create with. To this day\, nearly 13 years later\, my family still has this picture hanging in our dining room.”\n Lauren W.\n “My experience with Partners in Art was quite positive. Seeing my artwork framed and in such nice lighting really let me see the beauty of art\, not just my own but others as well. I was glad I chose a larger piece that was able to stand out\, but also showcased my hard work and dedication. The process to participate was also very easy and stress free. All in all\, Partners in Art was a lovely experience.”\n Macy R. \nThe Partners In Art Program\, started in 1992\, allows students from Sturgis Area Schools to have their artwork displayed at local businesses throughout the school year. This program is designed to recognize outstanding young artists and heighten community awareness of our students’ artistic talents. This year we plan to invite students and their families\, businesses\, and teachers and school staff to the reception together. This will allow businesses to interact with the students\, and we feel it will build connections to help continue and grow this program. We have art demonstrations from Jane Kelley at Happy Stems Flower Stand\, and Stacey Richardson with various forms of art. \n \nFunds provided in part by the William & Helen Doyle Exchange Club Fund at the Sturgis Area Community Foundation.
